I bought my bike over a year ago it now has almost 14,000 miles on it anyone know if there are things I should know that are faulty on these year bikes? what should I be checking up on or maybe swaping out i've been wanting to do a big bore kit but with such low miles the motor has alot of life left in it so im just looking for things to look out for or problem the twin cam 88 is known for

They are known to have problems with the IPB (inner primary bearing), but that should've been taken care of by the dealer. The stator was riveted that year, not welded, and could get loose if it hasn't already been resolved. I can't remember, but there might've also been some issues with the primary chain tensioners. Can't hurt to look at those anyway.

I'd be having a peak inside the primary and also inside the cam chest.

Its peace of mind for the cost of some oil and gaskets.

I have had to replace the inner primary bearing and the stator. Since you are now at 14,000 miles you should have the stator checked. You're in the area where they come apart.

Alright, the main reason I made this post was because i've started to hear a slight tick comming from it but I know the oil pressure is good so just looking for the typical things that go wrong on these motors
