Default V&H Big Radius pipe and fuel pack installation

I'm thinking of installing these myself and wondered if anyone on the board had done so and how it went.

I know quite a few have installed thier own pipes, a/c and tuner with great results. Its not too hard. Just have the proper tools, time, patience, and most importantly a 6-pack of your favorite brew. Then sit back and feel proud that you did not have to pay some dude 40-80 bucks an hour to do this simple task.

I let someone else do my pipes, because I kinda lack tools.

I will hopefully be installing the Fuelpak this weekend. After my Big Radius pipes were installed, I run a little lean. I have an SE s1 and A/C cover on the way.

You will love the sound of the pipes.

Which bike do you have?

I have an '07 Street Bob. I just spent a little time on V&H web site and watched the video for installing the fuel pack. You should check it out. I think I'm going to install it all myself. Getting ready to order the goods right now. My question now is should I wait until after the 1000 mile service?

its an hour or two for both. the fuel pack is the easy part.literally under 10minutes. the pipes are easy too, read the instructions that come with the pipes and go to work. and/or refer to the service manual. mine took under an hour and i had never actually taken piepes on and off before. honestly setting up the heat sheilds on the VH BR was the most time consuming part.

i installed the pipes and PC3 and air cleaner at about 300 miels i think. as long as the mixture is right, you should be fine.

Thanks. I consider myself pretty mechanically inclined, so I'm looking forward to it. Thanks again.

Just get the manual, case of your favorite brew and take your time. Took me about 2 hrs. The biggest pita was getting the fuelpak under the seat. Not much room and alot of connectors. Good luckand have fun.

I did my own. Hard to fit the fuelpak under the seat (tight fit). Get the manuel to have the right lbs. when tightening screws. Good luck...

I have the short shots but Pipes are very easy to install. Fuel pack took a little longer to install than the pipes. As ladodgerdog said the fit is very tight under the seat I had a little trouble getting the wires to go were I wanted them to. But its not too bad.

I just did the exact install you are going to do about a week ago. Everything went pretty smooth. I also watched the vid on the V&H site, very helpful.
