I have decided to go with Carlini 9" clean sweeps on my 06 WG. I see several who have went to t bars and of course went with braided lines. I dont particularly care for the 1 piece line that loops under the lower tree running from the master cyl. all the way down to the caliper. I have a buddy with a 3 piece line that has about a 5" hardline ran under the lower tree with a line going from the master cyl. down to the right side of this pipe and one from the left side of the pipe down to the caliper. This set up came on his bike when he bought it so he has no idea who makes it. The local stealer doesn't have a clue either. This setup looks sleek and clean. With proper care leaks shouldn't be too much of an issue. Any ideas on who makes something like this?
All help is appreciated and if you have a better idea lets hear it.
i got a tee like you are descibing from drag specialties. but i think i saw what you need there as well even tho you only have the one disc. may take a while to find it but check thru the goodridge stuff and the russell renegade stuff too
I have this setup and I think it looks good. The real intent of the "Tee" that goes under the lower tree is so you can have a dual disk setup in the front, but it works well for single too.
As 2002fxdp mentioned Russell makes a tee (Drag Specialties) - about $30 I think. Quality is OK. Goodridge also makes one but it's a bunch more $. Other than that you wiil need 2 brake lines of the correct length and a bunch of banjo fittings (one for the master cylinder, one for the caliper and one for each side of the "tee". The fitting is 12mm at the master cylinder end and 10mm everywhere else. You need angled fittings at the ends, straight fittings at the tee.
It does seep a bit of brake fluid, but that may be my banjo fittings and washers. I wipe is off every other week - it's not leaking, just a fine coating on the fittings.
