I've been commuting 5 days a week at least once a day, often twice a day in the dark for a couple years now with this light. And yes it took me two attempts to get adjusted the way I wanted it, but it has glorious visibility and output. I think most get confused because the low beam has such a wide pattern, that doesn't have these huge lines of endput that the average light does have, they think it isn't as good as it is. I have noticed that it sometimes appears to wash out around streetlights of the same color, but I have also noticed that with every other headlight/s I've ever used. And you actually have just as much light available, you just can't see your own output edges....
stupid amounts of light. it's the same as the vision x vortex (the CD led is a rebranded vortex). Those and the jws are the best lights out there right now.
I basically watched these all the way through. Hahaha. Good stuff. I've been following most of your headlight trials, but cant recall if you ever tried the Moto Illumination. Did you? Thoughts on it either way?

i was going to but, there was some oddball Facebook only ordering/contact thing going on with them at that time. That was enough for me to pass on them.

may be ok. I cant say much more
I hear ya. Appreciate your research on the others tho.
I have the VisionX Vortex (same as Custom Dynamics TruBeam LED) with the adapter that leaves the low beam on with the high beam. Its a real flamethrower at night. Its a huge improvement over the factory Daymakers that came with the bike. My big concern with LED headlights is the lack of day time visibility to oncoming traffic with most. With the VisionX's built in halo light and CD dynamic rings, this just isn't an issue anymore. Not the cheapest option, but I'm very happy with this setup.
I've been reading some reviews from a few people that say that while the light is bright, say on signs, during the day, during the day, that the amount of usable light at night is strangely lacking. That they cannot really find a sweet spot for both the high and low beam. If they get the high beam aimed right, the low beam is off. A few put the stock light back in and went looking for another solution. Any thoughts on this??
I've had one for the last year and a half and I have no complaints. It is at least 10 times better than a stock light. I posted some pictures earlier in the post of the difference between the two. Have a look. When you go to high beam, the center bulb lights up and basically puts a spotlight type beam. I'd highly recommend it.

Appreciate ya. I may just go with it. I am on a waiting list right now, so we'll see. Thanks man.
