Default Thunderheader heat shields

For those of you that have or have had the black thunderheader exhaust have you experienced any problems with the coating on the heat shields bubbling or having surface roughness due to the heat? I'm thinking of pulling them off and sending them back or just leaving them off looks like crap.

Don't have a TH, but they are known for poor finish on their products. Stopped me from grabbing one.

Where did you get them from? Those look like someone spray painted them. You'd think the pipe would discolor or do what the shield is doing before the shield would.

Those look painted. The heat shields I had were the same matte finish as the black on the pipes.

I have denim black shields - no problem. Looks like these were painted

The more I look at the shields I really think someone painted them because the hose clamps are black too.

Ive never seen gloss black shields from TH. Someone painted or powdered those. Looks like that sucker is running hot

Well pulled them off. I'll stay raw for now until I get the other ones redone or order a set of new ones.
