2006 Dyna Superglide
Good afternoon. I bought my 06 new in 06 and had absolutely no issues with anything. But unfortunately 11 yrs later and approx 30,000 miles I have developed a primary noise that is suspect of an inner bearing problem. Having done some research on the internet I found several forums pertaining to this as a recall or defect. I am not looking for a hand out but I also do not want to tear into this and find out after it was something I could have had the dealer do at minimal cost. Can you please advise me as to what is the truth of this matter, because I do not believe everything I read on the internet. Thanks for any response. Sincerely Ed Caley.

I came prepared with other people's invoices, pages of internet topics, and also the dealer letter when mine went out. I dropped the bike off, spoke with the service manager, and then immediately went home and called Harley to get a reference number. It cost me about 60-100 For Harley to cover and do everything
To replace the inner primary bearing having all of the tools will cost you about a hundred bucks including all gaskets
