1999 FXDL will not start
Need a little help here, I have a 99 dyna low rider. Laid it down last fall going about 30mph. Bent a few things, foot peg, shifter, handlebars, minimal damage. While I was working on it I updated several other things, new dash, turn sigs, polished front disc brakes, new headlight etc. Things are all back together, and I cannot get it to start.
Fuel seems good, I’m getting the correct voltage, had battery tested, and its good. All things electrical seem to be working, getting spark, I can see fuel from the carb with the cleaner cover off. The motor turns, but will not fully start. I know there is a BAS on some dyna models, after reading the service manual it states that on a 99 all you need to do is cycle power to reset. I’m not sure what my next step is in my troubleshoot, any help would be great.

Did you have it running after the spill before doing the electrical updates? That's where I would start. Also do you have a factory service manual? I would get one so you can see the wiring diagram.
No, It was not running after the spill. I have a service manual yes, and I have combed through the wiring many times, everything appears to be working. I do not think it is an electrical issue. Motor turns over, i have spark, correct voltage from the battery, all lights light up as they should etc. Should I move to the fuel system next?

Some carbed bikes can be a little cantankerous when it comes to starting after sitting for a while. Usually the front cylinder will fire then the rear will catch up. Glad you got it running.
