Bowman Sissy Bars 16" vs 24"
And yep, Bowman's bars are exceptionally well-made. Mine has had a very hard life (the bike's my every-day banger with thousands of miles on rough gravel roads with tons of stuff tied all over it, and still looks as good as new (except a few understandable chips off the powder coat here and there).
.

That 24" will look great on your Wide Glide

A few FYI's: you can remove the turn signal wiring, no cutting is required. The 2 spacers on the OEM sissy bar are on with double stick tape, use a hair dryer to heat them up so you can remove them and stick them on the new Bowman bar.
The hardest part of the job is getting the wiring back in the fender channels. A lift will help you get your arm between the tire and fender. Setting your rear shocks to a #4 or #5 preload will also get you some added space.
And... Post up images of your ride when you get it done. Questions, just PM me...
Just wanted to thank you for the spacer tip. The hair dryer worked like a charm. I went ahead and did it without a lift or even adjusting the shocks. A lot of cursing ensued but I managed to get it all done with only a few cuts and bruises.
Hard to beat the Bowman for the money.
I just found this American made tool bag at the HD swap meet, been looking for a decent small/medium size bag to hold my extra stuff. Dosn't look bad in my opinion and I don't have to stuff my pockets anymore...only 15.00 cash...
