incidentally, the decel cable was the real culprit.... i brought it back home, and worked on the decel cable -the slack is taken up by working that wide adjustment nut in the opposite direction.... it feels proper, now

that sound right, arcane?

Where is the decel cable adjustment located.

Default RE: slack on throttle??

I just got my 2007 Street Bob back from the dealer after it's 1K service.
The 2 throttle cables exiting the switch housing seem "jiggly" where they both enter the housing. Is this normal?
I can't really feel any throttle sensivity difference since the service, but they look as if they were adjusted because the rubber boots were a little off the adjusting nuts.
It feels as if I can pull the cables right out of the housing easily....if I pull them out all the way, will they snap back into place?
If I do this, will it maladjust the slack settings?
They just seem like they should be tighter where they enter the switch housing.
A little help would be appreciated here....
