Suspension is garbage but motor mounts will make a huge difference in the stability at speed as well. I did the Big Bear Choppers rear mount and the vibratechnics rear mount and it was night and day. Premium shocks from the Lowrider S aren't god awful but Ohlins will be getting installed on my bike when budget allows. Look forward to seeing your bike finished up!

What other motor work do you have done ?

Did you go with the NIX 22 inserts? I was going to go with inverted forks and dual disc, but I may go Inserts for now as my wallet is empty.

Well we found the storage closet today but I won't go into details for your sake . And thanks!

Powder looks great.

I used to powder coat stuff on my MX bikes back in the day. I used the kitchen over for a time until I found out about how toxic the fumes were. That may be one of the small reasons that marriage did work out so well.
Haha!

I used denatured alcohol to get it off. Claybar is a good idea as well. To be honest it wasn't that bad to take off. It's just carelessness and disrespect on his part.

I love powder coat fumes. I get paid and get a free high haha.

I've been seriously considering motormounts. I've been doing a lot of business with big bear and he keeps pushing them on me. I may have to pick them up once I get more funds.

Thanks for tuning in!

EDIT EDIT: figured it out. EDIT: does anyone know how to get the site to go back into mobile view ? I cant get it to work and the mobile app sucks. I can't upload pics until I figure this out

So after I told that guy id hit him for ****ing my bike over , he didn't show up today.

Progress wasn't that crazy today. Thursday's are short because we gotta clean the building at the end of the day.

First thing I did was bring in some painters blankets and covered my whole bike. And then started working on removing exhaust brackets.

I was gonna remove both the cam cover exhaust bracket and the rear transmission bracket and powder coat them gloss black. The cam cover one was corroded and the transmission one was poorly painted at the factory.

Once I realized I don't need either of the brackets for my new exhaust , I just ended up grinding the bolt heads down until the bracket came off. The frame rails are in the way so getting at the bolts are impossible. Taped up the frame to avoid damage. I learned at an early age if you don't use protection you better have a plan B.

Afterwords it was a simple vice grip job

I removed the rear exhaust bracket afterwords which was ugly and now allows me to get to the master cylinder easier.

I ordered my points cover , derby cover, and some electronics today. I tried to order my suspension but still waiting on a price from ohlins as my rear suspension is being custom built.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll wire my bars in my shop and I have a **** ton of powdercoating work to do for my instructors and some peers so I may post that up too. $$$$

Till next time.

That's all the motor work that was done. Cams RR3 Bassani and pcv5 tuner. Dynoed at 94hp/100+torque Yeah I think they were the nix 22 , I have wide glide fork tubes and '14 lowrider lowers for dual disc and touring brembos.

also inverted ohlins have tendency to leak more than the traditional forks. Love the way the bike rides. Fxdp shocks on rear btw

Multi will chime in shortly, I am sure of that. I am sure he will say no, not as a direct fit, but yes with some minor changes related to bearings or axles.

You said you're doing the Powdercoating yourself? Would be interested in hearing about your setup/Process.
