Looking good my man. I like the bar setup. It looks really clean hiding those cables. I need to see what I can do to mine.

Great work so far! Loving the build.

I have done more sets of bars on Harley's than I can count... quick tip for pin removal of connectors. Take a medium sized sewing needle and mount it to a small flat blade screw driver that has a flat top. Gives you something to hold on to and press from the top to release the clip. I made one years ago with an old screwdriver and needle and I still have and use it today for friends bikes. I did the bars on my Ultra that has the tiny connectors and was super easy to release those pins on the new tiny connectors. I literally used electrical tape to attach the needle to the screwdriver and its still holding strong today. I have also used to to release pins on deutche style connectors from Cat and such.

I know you said you were ordering your fairing soon. If it's from big bear I'd wait. I have alot to say about that in the coming future. You can pm if your on the fence and I'll give you my opinion.

that's a good idea . That was the problem with using sewing needles. I'll have to try that next time and maybe I'll solder it to an old screwdriver or something. Good looking out

Thanks! And its worth it for sure and can be done in a day if your quick about it. I'll do it to everyone of my bikes from now on. Really helps the look.

This build is really coming together, LTLOTW. I like the bar set-up and the blacked-out front end looks great.

thanks brother . Wasn't sure about the front end but I'm loving it now.

quick little update. Big Bear Choppers and I didn't bode well together. I don't have any beef with Kevin or the company but what happened is unacceptable. The fairings and bags will be sent back to them this week.

and I'm ****ing pissed. But the good news is, something even more bad *** is coming in the mail. But honestly I'm starting to think I should have just bought a streetglide. This dyna fxrt **** is a pain in my ***.

I threw the seat on and stock headlight (yea I had to re solder it). This is how it sits now

Aswell as the stock brake light/plate mount just so i could get it home and not have to mess with wiring my new lighted plate mount. Threw on some little square mirrors to kinda fit the fxr theme. No shocks becuase im powdercoating the shock mounts.

the lucky daves seat is awesome and comfortable. But man. Being over 6 foot. That seat really puts you up high. I feel like I'm gonna fall over the handlebars, and I wish I would have went with like 14 inch risers instead of 10. Not sure if im gonna like it with the mids. I feel like im riding on a bar stool, and people are saying I look massive on the bike. I'm seriously considering a street glide.

Big Bear really messed up the timing of this project and now I'm having to backtrack. Really dissapointed. I did finally receive the correct exhaust mount so I'll throw that on tomorrow and will finally be able to hear how it sounds with the can on.

I thought the same about my mids , although I'm not as tall as you. But, maybe check out the floorboard kit?? Put a set on mine from fleebay and it made a huge difference. Or highway pegs...I'm never happy and thinking of picking some up.
