Well guys this is unreal, been trying to track down a slightly uncomfortable vibration on my ride, well I finally found it and all is fixed, it was the rubber that is attached to the frame to stop the jiffy stand touching the frame, it somehow moved up, maybe when I lifted the ride, who knows, anyway rubber back in place, jiffy stand not touching frame, and vibration gone.
Nice That was a cheap fix; the Dyna is a very unique animal. I do like the pulses and vibrations that go through the bike at different RPM ranges, it's a visceral feel that HD has now abandoned, the Dyna is the last true motorcyclists motorcycle HD builds, but you want everything proper so you're getting the true 'Dyna' feel...
I have a 14 Fat Bob and the vibration through the handle bars is numbing. After 10 min or so of riding, my fingers go numb so bad that I can't feel my fingers press the directionals or any of the controls on the grips. Motor mount seems to be ok, there is plenty of space between the right down tube on the front exhaust pipe. Tires are fine, no cupping, rear tire aligned. Exhaust mounts are tight. I know Harleys vibrate but this vibration is like a high frequency tone that goes right through you. I don't know where else to look. Any thoughts from the Harley guru's? 6400 miles if that is any help.
First, check the engine isolators, they can 'look' good but not always are they so. Double check your clearance between the rubber of the isolator and the engine bracket.
Second, change out those sad rubber riser bushings for either solids or poly bushings; those things are the worst. I'm running a Predator front engine mount, riser extensions, and solid bushings and can ride without any issues for hours, the vibrations are exactly how an HD should feel...
Cheers TinCupChalice, now that is really interesting, I also have a 2013 Fatbob and looked at the Harley notice you posted, I looked at the Jiffy stand Pin and mine is the opposite way round from the Harley installation Manual, now is this the correct way that they are talking about in their notice, or should it be as in the Manual.
Just a little addon, while I was under the ride, I seen a heatshield clamp touching the brakerod, so I moved this, lets see what happens, however my pipes on the Fatbob are from a Streetbob, I done this so I could fit footboards stock bolt on.

Glad you found it so easily...
I feel the same way. My bike shacks like a paint shaker below 2000 rpms and I love it. I have no numbing vibrations. That would suck. She is smooth above 2000 rpms.
Over the years I have modified my.riding style. if your squeezing your grips any harder than how you squeeze toothpaste, try lightening up the death grip. This makes a big difference.
I barely have much pressure on my grips when I ride. I have my hands just cuffed over.
you'll go insane trying to find these gremlin vibration. Even on my sport bike I have issues.

Yep agree on the light grip, I certainly steer clear of the death grip, and gremlin vibes are certainly hard to find, but all in all, we find that a gremlin vibration has to eventually come from somewhere, and it is fun to track down, another excuse to pass time in the garage, and its amazing what the guys in the forum find, that helps a million.
