Default Rear tire kicking out under power

Yesterday I took the bike out for a while and it started doing something it has never done before. When I get on the throttle hard or downshift at high RPM's the rear tire starts to kick out. I wish I could say its because I had tons of power but unfortunately that's not the issue... yet.

Recently I had a chain drive put on so I though maybe there was some excess grease on the rear wheel. Nope. Also swapped out rear shocks recently too. Checked those and everything seems tight and adjusted properly. I'm not sure what else it could be. I have a few hundred miles on the bike since the last changes to the bike and this just started happening. Any ideas on where to start investigating?

Maybe a failed swing arm bushing? It keeps kicking out to the right which is the side the busing is on. Might make sense if that failed, no?

Its not so much of a spinning tire but more of a shifting sideways to the right. Its fun when I want it to happen. Not so much fun when its unexpected or in the middle of a hard turn.

I had this same symptom on my Heritage a few weeks back. Put the bike on a lift, and discovered that the rear axle nut had worked itself loose. The retainer would have prevented it from coming all the way off, thankfully, but still.

It sounds like you've checked your work, so probably it is not that, but just thought I'd mention, just in case.

Maybe get it on a lift, if you haven't yet.

I didn't manually check the axel yet. That was on my list of things to do tonight when I got home. I have axel covers on the rear. I visually inspected it last night with the thought process that if the nut or axel was loose the cover wouldn't be sitting right. They looked ok so I didn't get any further into it. I will tonight though. Thanks.
