I have a new set of Night Dragons, tubes, rim strips, and the pink stuff ready and waiting to install. I'm looking forward to the ride.

You will be very pleased with the Night Dragons and the Ride On; smooth, stable, and planted.
The dosage calculator; using Ride On with tubes or for dynamic balancing, follow the severe dosage recommendations: http://www.ride-on.com/calculator.html
The stock K591 Dunlop is a soft tire... I went to a 170/65-17 D407 tire in the back and MCOMMII on the front on stock rims.. I got roughtly 13-14k miles out the D407.
Even after the rim changes I'm still running that front and back, although the 180/65-16 I'm running now is a dual compound where the 170 was not... but next change I'll try the D408 in front... 'cause the MichCommII has a bit of a push-wash when pushed into a corner that I don't like.
I wish I knew how you guys get that kind of mileage out of tires, especially on the rear! I've run the original Scorchers, 2 sets of commander IIs, and a set of American Elites. And one Shinko, just for fun. No more than 8500 miles from a rear, 5k on the Shinko. So far, the Avons look like they should beat 8500 though.
I have been running Michelin Pilot Road IIIs on my bike and that is after running 2 sets of the original Pilot Roads. They are an excellent rain tire and the best handling tire I have ever ridden. I have even managed to scrape the top of my RB Racing LSR 2-1...That's what I call a lean.
Usually between 4-6K on a rear tire.
One can not always go by the Mileage others get other than when they themselves compare them against other Tires .. Different Terrain, Weather, and Ones Riding Style all affect how good your mileage does .. Still quite satisfied with my Michelin Commander II's after 12,000 Miles, but might try Pirelli Night Dragons when time for another Tire just to see how they compare up .. Pretty Sure I will if happen to find them On Sale when close to the time of needing replacement , but if the Tread keep looking as good as does now and the Wear Depth stays in Range might even get 20K out of them .. I did get 20K out of them on my 2000 FXR4 ..
