Smile Just upgraded!

I just traded up from my Sportster to a Street Bob and get to start accessorizing again from scratch. First the forward controls and a new seat, then hopefully apes and lighting, then pipes and air intake - if I have any money left at that point!

Test rode one today (may have liked it more than the FXDLS). But, yeah, those controls were pretty far back.

Congrats and post pics when you get a chance.

I was waiting for you to chime in like this... I'm with you! Your Sportster often makes me think there may be another one in my future one day...

Hello fellow Los Angeles area new Street Bob owner. I'm in Simi Valley, and will pick up my new Street Bob on Tuesday. Getting the speedometer replaced before then:

If you're not too sure about jumping from mids to forward controls they have something called "further forward mid controls". They use the mid mounting locations but extend the pets / controls out 2". I got them for my 16 SB and they are great.

Instead of forwards, unless your a tall fella, get some highway pegs mounted on the front. I was always wanting to get forwards but I now just couldnt imagine not having that extra control mids give you when riding. The highway pegs are great for a longer stretch when you want to kick out and the mids are great for the canyon/twisty style riding and even for standing up on to get your bum off the seat.
