Default Forward Controls

My 2000 FXDL forward control for the brake is about 2" too far out for me to feel comfortable. My approach at the moment is to relocate the brake peddle and cut the rod back 2" Tks

I think Corbin makes seats that bring you 2 inches forward, maybe others also, could be a cheap option, if you find one in classifieds or fleabay.

HD makes a reduced reach solo seat as well.

Default forward controls

I have readjusted the shifter so as it is perfect now. However, the brake is my problem. I have to sit up almost on to the gas tank right now to stop.. My Corbin seat I like but just need to bring the brake back 2 inches. I am trying to avoid putting blocks on the peddles.

+1 on seat OR, new pegs with a heel rest... I had 'em on my Street Bob and they are awesome!

Have you adjusted the brake rod to the maximum threads allowed by service manual, this will bring the brake forward.

I was able to adjust the rods on my Sporty but this on is fixed, not adjustable. I have a similar set up as the one Honey Badger shows in his pic.

Correct me if I am wrong are you saying you have no jam nuts to release at the rear caliper on the brake rod like in picture posted below.

Default forward brake rod

the nut, item 11, is all the way in, will not shorten. I am leaning towards relocating the brake bracket back 2" and then shortening the rod at the peddle end to match. I'm short so need to improvise where I can. this forum is really helping me out, so thanks.
