Just wondering if anyone anyone with a 14 low rider has had a issue with there brake light staying on? Brake light is staying on when on run position and will work normal when just on the on position, Ive tested both front and rear brake switches and both test good. Makes me think ive got a BCM issue of some sort and was just wondering if anyone has ran into this before.
Thanks
Have you checked for any thrown codes yet?
Where you hold the "Trip" button in before turning "Power" on, then turning the "Power" switch to the "On" position and holding the "Trip" button in while the speedo needle goes all the way over then releasing the "Trip" button and then you can scroll through "codes"?
I guess that was a thing on the 14 low riders. My wife's bike did it. Had to push the front brake lever back to get it to turn off. Dealer said the fix was a new handlebar control. For us luck struck and it just started acting normally. Hasn't done it since.
My bike does it from time to time, just remove the front brake lever, clean out the plunger with some compressed air or some cleaning solvent, make just the plunger depresses and returns back to the open position. Not a big deal.
Mine was the same way, had to push the lever forward to get it to turn off. I pulled the brake lever out, added a dab of gasket maker on the piece that depressed the switch to take away some of the slack, works like a charm lol
Ive tested and tested this bike over the last few weeks and everything seems to be in correct position and returning as designed, keeps tripping the bcm light and when checking codes through the fuel pack 3 the only codes are for the front brake switch
