I was wondering about my mileage too. I was getting 39-40 mpg on my '06 FXD for the first 3500 miles. Last weekend I took a 500 mile round trip and I was getting a consistent 46-47 mpg on the highway at 65 mph. One tankfull I got 52 mpg, but I had a real nasty tailwind that really blew me down the road. Now if you are doing 75 mph, I'm sure the mileage goes way down, but I was glad to see that my Dyna had finally achieved what I think it should have. It has the SE air cleaner and SEII pipes and a download.
I was looking at 2 different sets of SE slip ons at my stealer both on sale for half price, could anyone tell me which is louder / quieter ?
Model numbers are 80349-00a and 80038-95a
They are going on a 2006 flsti , the parts guy said i wouldnt need a high flow air cleaner ,just bolt em on and go.
Any feedback on these mufflers will be appreciated, I'm not looking for a real loud pipe , I just want to be heard when i throttle her open.
I went to the dealer to buy some Rush's but he didn't have them to fit my bike. But, he had some old, but still new in the box, SE II's he sold me at a good price. They told me they'd sound as good as Rush - they don't. However, for the price they sound good to me. I want it to sound like a Harley but I don't want to attract attention of law enforcement too much. They are perfect in that regard.
I also haven't changed anything else and don't have any issues with heat, etc. At my 1K service, they checked everything and it seems to be running just fine with these mufflers and no download.
