Anything is possible with enough money and effort. Easier to just lace up a new rim. I've got a 17x4.5 on the front of my wide glide. Stock hub, Buchanan's spokes, Excel rim.

Won't have room between the forks on a midglide front end tho.

I think OP's working w a WG. No need for a FB front unless he wants to reduce rake. My statement is for 06 and up dyna's just to be clear.

If the OP is working with a Wide Glide and already has the extra rear wheel, then he is pretty much setup for the change. Use the front hub and lace it to the rear rim with the rear spokes. The front and rear spoke to hub geometry is the same, it's the brake disk and rear sprocket mountings that are different. Then all the OP would need to do is locate a front tire to fit the rim.

I'm still working on it so this is the best I've got right now... 180/70-16 in back and 150/80-17 in front. Slightly taller than stock ride height.
