Hi All. My question is a little different. I installed the Harley led blinker mirrors last year without issue.
Last night I installed the cycle visions eliminator in the rear. Now the security light (red key) comes on and lights blink normally.
The elimnator kit comes with a load eq. When I take the eq off, the key still shows up and the lights blink fast. I called the manufacturer and they told me I need their load eq for bikes with alarms. Thing is that I don't have an alarm or fob. Bike at one point had LoJack but dealer removed or at least disabled it because it was faulty. Do you think I need the load eq for setups with the alarm?
Bike is a 2009 fat bob
I changed to LED's on my 09 FXD, warning lights and blinkers acted goofy for the first 20-30 miles/
Install the equalizer, then let some time pass for the system to "learn" that you changed the lights,
In other words just run it, you know there's nothing wrong,, the ECM doesn't,, it'll figure it out, just let it think.
You know I do remember that happening when I replaced the front lights to led. I'll keep letting the system run and will update if it fixes itself. Thank you.
I replaced all turn signals on my 16 LRS with the Custom Dynamics fodder.
I didn't go thru the 4way flasher routine, at some point it just started blinking normal.
To each his own, but I have no problem with LED turn signals blinking fast,
It makes any vehicle stand out from the flock o'sheep, "Look At Me, See Me!!!".
I would have preferred that mine didn't correct itself, but I think I'll survive.
