I know this has been asked before, but can't seem to locate the simple answer for it.
I have a 2015 Streetbob, I'm thinking about upgrading my 103 to a 110. What do I need to do? How much am I looking to spend and anyone in Northern California know of any good shops? Thanks.
Hey Madd here. I have an add on here for a fuel moto 107 with FM level B heads for sale. Read the add and get back to me. I will give you a very good price if you want it.
i was 100% okay with the 103. I did it just because i could. After the 110, i don't regret it at all.
Really not all that wise to take a hard stance against and you dont really have time in the saddle. Especially considering that you just came off a sportster at the begining of the season.
basically amounts to talking out of your poop shoot.
hmmm "Hard stance", tough guy? once you told me you got skin as thick as rhinoceros.
Belive it or not, coming off sporster was not for more power. I was happy with sportster 1200 engine, and it's nimbleness and lighter weight made for it's smaller size engine. It was for the bigger size of the Dynas.
" I did it because I could" ......Now ceev, for someone who has been on these boards since Harley met Davidson, you gotta be a better role model, wise man You know how many things you can do only because you could?
jeeghzzz
i hear you. It's just hard to say "I'm against it".
Not all builds are created equal and OP may be at the point where he/she has mastered the 103 and wants more. You've gone and projected your freshman view onto the question. Your view may change in a few months to a year. Might be better to reserve judement until you've had the bike a bit longer. I mean how many people came throughthe sporty forum talking about theyd never go bigger and how they didn't need x or y.... and are now rock x or y?
So now i have all the power of the 103 and then some... does mean i need to use it. I had no issue with the 103 power. Said quite a few times, ... it was basically hobby **ckery.
You didn't say if your 103 is bone stock or if you have a stage 1 done. You might be pleasantly surprised how much performance can be gained with a good exhaust, intake and tune. Then again, I'm totally in favor of more cubic inches. Just saying.
And if your motor is stock, plan on spending a few bucks for a good tuner/dyno, intake and exhaust.
nevil makes a good point, if you're stock still then intake and exhaust should be your first upgrade and maybe a cam. If your dead set on the big bore you can plan out the cam to get more HP with matching the pistons for compression to the cam when you do the big bore in the future.

nmaybe, but I feel like the op will end up wanting more soon after. Besides if he's gonna add displacement, he'd be best off adding a good ac and 2-1 exhaust. Not to mention a lot of the big bore kits include more aggressive cams. Might be better off doing everything at once.

i just maxed (as far as I'm willing to) out because i could. Yeah... fk yeah, why not? I said i was going to do it, almost from the outset. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/showp...5&postcount=40

As long as you're on the defensive cv
keepin you at bay, for now.
not always including cams. Jug and piston kits are plentiful.
i dunno If I'd want to do a big bore kit without cams. I know you're no rookie when it comes to this stuff so you would know better than I would but I'd have a hard time not upgrading while I was already inside the motor. Assuming we're talking about stock cams of course.
