That bike has it all. Love the dual disks in front. I like some pipes with baffles to build up enough backpressure. Looks like you can get away with slipons. Those shocks are gems too. Is that an S&S carb behind the air cleaner?
One suggestion - you can add mid pegs and have fw controls and mid pegs for all scenarios. I got used to forwards up to the 150 mile mark or so then it's back to mids. But with the ability to alternate, makes it much more versatile.
The dual discs are great! Just need need springs and fork seals (front dive is a bitch). I was thinking about the Cobra RPT, they have a nice deep tone that I'm after. And yes it's a super E! I was going to have mids as my main controls and highway pegs up front to stretch out. The forward controls are killing me. Coming from dual sports, naked bikes and standard cruisers I keep hitting pavement when I put my feet down because I look for the wrong pegs haha
That's a classy-classic looking bike and Evo's sound so good with a nice pipe and cams, they have a knack for setting off everyone's car alarms
Thank you! The bike is in great shape for its age. Only two small raisin size dents on opposite sides of the tank, but they didn't chip the paint and if I didn't tell you they were there you'd never notice them. Cams are definitely on the list, but I have a while until I get there (the lady doesn't like me tearing into motors too early)
Thought I'd update this a little bit. I finally got new bars, and they are absolutely perfect. Couldn't ask for a more comfortable riding position. Had to er extended throttle cables and clutch cable, and did the burly ez pull clutch install while I was at it. What a difference. The clutch wasn't bad before but sucked in traffic, now I can two finger this clutch all day. It's great. I got cut off the other night and kicked on my brakes and must've blown something out in the rear, because I have no more rear brake function. Oh well, at least they worked! Here's a pic of the bike with the bars installed.
To add to your always-growing list of things to think about in the future (my list grows way faster than it could ever be executed): If you like riding aggressively in corners (and it looks like the front tire has maybe been close to it's usable edge), think about a set of Avon Cobras or Pirelli Night Dragons next time you need tires. Not only are they softer and stickier, they have a rounder profile that allows a steeper lean angle before running off the edge of the tire.

Have fun!
Thank you! The tires are brand new Pirellis, but can't remember what specifically right now. My limiting factor for riding hard right now is my suspension and brakes. I appreciate the input about the tires and will definitely check them out when these are toast
