My first Dyna
It also comes with~
Highway bars
mid controls
Saddle bags (quick detach)
It's actually a superb platform right from the "get-go."
Dual rotors, steep fork rake, light weight, above features too.
If/when you do a cam, you'll want to replace the OEM Torrington inner cam bearing with an updated Torrington. The stocker usually lasts about 15-25,000 miles before it chews thru the bearing cage. Get to it before this happens.
I had a 1995 FXD for a long time, with a lot more miles than you've got here. The cam I chose to replace the stocker was a Crane 316-2B "Fireball."
It comes on hard at 3400rpm, and signs off at 5500rpm. Cam performed well for the next 100,000+ miles without a hiccup.
