Default 17 FXDLS Westcoast MXtbars holes too small and no fly by wire?

Hey guys, I have a mechanic putting on my bars on my 17 FXDLS and he's saying there's no spot on the bars for fly by wire and the holes on the bars are really small for running my wiring through them. Anyone else have this issue with these bars??

Right bar end can always be notched for the throttle grip I think. As for the holes, the throttle needs to be depinned, and the connectors are pretty small, how small are the holes?

I guess if your tech is not able to figure it out, no matter what answer you get here isn't going to help much.

I should b honest and mention I got these from ebay, listed as new/unused westcoast mxtbars. I could jus oder another set directly from westcoast but I'm worried now that if the 1st bars were legit, that the westcoast direct ones might b the same.

yep the right side of the new handlebar needs to be machined to fit the TBW gear.

you can either buy new bars or have the ones you have machined to fit the below specs

The photos look like the bar diameter is too narrow. No machining that, but it could just be the photo.

If you mechanic doesn't know the difference between TBR and a throttle cable, you may need a different mechanic.

Just spoke with Westcoast...the bar I got is their older model that was made for throttle cable and not for fly by wire so I WILL have to get another, newer bar

If you have a Dyna, you do not have TBR. You have a throttle cable.

haha he does that's why he took pics and was trying to explain to me how my bar was missing notches and that the throttle tube won't fit bcuz of an indentation further up the handle.
