So I've been searching and searching and I'm having a hard time finding what I'm looking for. I have a '96 FXD that I'm looking to put new bars on. I'm looking for tad more comfort. I've sat on a street bob and wasn't that impressed. So I'm leaning towards drag bars or some sort of pull back bars. But I want ideas and pics to look at. I know the most popular on here are t-bars and apes and although I like the look of apes not sure how that'd be for comfort. T bars would be ok if they were short but never seen such a thing. And tall ones just aren't my look. So any pics and ideas for me would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hey man! Just found this photo on my phone from when I got the bike (please excuse the zoolander blue steel pose) these are the "pull back drags" I was speaking about they have the 7" total rise with the pull back. I'm 5'8" with T. rex arms and although in the pic I'm a bit forward, when fully sat back I still maintain a little bend in my arms, they aren't at full lock extended. Hopefully this helps! I can also try to snag a couple more detailed pics tomorrow if you'd like
What about Fat Bob bars on an FXD? I like the look of those bars but trying to find info on whether they'd fit or not? Anyone know or know of some pics?
I've still got my black risers from the stock Low Rider S drag bars. 6" rise I believe. I may even have the bar somewhere, I'll have to look. If you are looking for something that low, you can have them for shipping and one beer... Or two beers if you want to pick them up near Newburgh if you feel like taking a ride. It's about an hour from me but a very nice ride up the Taconic...
I love drag bars, put them on all my cruisers. Put the wildone chubbys on my FXDL, got the max pull back , I probably could have gone a touch less pull back but its still pretty comfy and easy to ride.
