Default Red Thunder exhaust

I really used to like my Fuelmoto E-series pipe, but for a few months I started thinking it wasn't loud enough. It began gnawing at me every time I rode. I even removed the fiberglass from the muffler, which made it a little louder, but not much.

I remembered seeing a post a while back on this new pipe, "Red Thunder" - described as an improved Thunderheader. All stainless steel, ceramic coated, better brackets, same great performance and sound, only slightly quieter.

Sounded perfect, as the TH is damn loud, a little less might be perfect. And I've seen dyno results on the 110 with the TH putting out killer numbers.

I started looking around and couldn't find anyone selling them. Then I found http://www.uncleancrew.bigcartel.com and dropped them a note. While waiting for a response, I noticed nick@nite was selling one on the classifids. I figured it was gone since there was a lot of interest, but I gave it a shot - and scored. It should arrive here tomorrow.

Got a response from Steve at uncleancrew - really good guy. We ended up talking numbers because I honestly wasn't expecting the pipe to still be available, but when I found out it was, I let him know. He was very cool about it and I will probably buy the heat shields from him.

Going to put it on this rainy Sunday we're expecting. Have a few days off next week so I may take a ride up to my Dyno guy just to see what it does.

Hope it's as good as I've read.

I'll report back.

You will like it, Nice sound to them and I actually like it more than my Road Rage 3. Bit quieter however but still a tough note.

They tune up real nice too, low end torque is killer.

I was all lined up to buy his pipe till I found out it had no heat shields. For some reason I always seem to get my leg too close to the pipe..

Yeah, I figured they are sold new without them, just like the TH you have to buy them optionally. So if I end up wanting a set, I'll just order them new.

The guy at Unclean Crew sells them - he said he even had carbon fiber shields. I'm not a carbon fiber kind of guy, but it did sound cool.

I wonder why deadbeat customs and San Diego customs dropped the red thunder exhaust from their lineups. I always thought these would have been a big hit.

I posted a link to a company in the US who deals in them now. "uncleancrew" - Steve seems to be a good guy after a couple of conversations.

They found the perfect chick for their website. Nice tee shirts too.
