Will pullback risers affect handling on fxdls?
i picked a new low rider S about two weeks ago, and i would really like to bring the handlebars back a bit. i love the way the bike handles, so i was wondering if this will affect the handling or feel of the bike.
for example i was looking at the harley# 56267-09 curved risers with a 1.75" pullback.
anyone tried something similar?

Optimal is to always have the handlebars inline w/ the forks
Anything other than that - just going to have to try it..., and see how it feels / works for Ya
As you can see via my avatar.., mine's a little off - but it fits be better that way..., and handling not an issue

In a nutshell when you ride 2 up you change the handling, so a little handlebar pullback will not do to much at all, look at all the op,s with apes, they pull them back or move them forward to get the right feeling, just remember its a Harley and should be ridden in a safe way, if you want to rip up the tarmac, you have to go metric.
The bike itself is going to handle mostly based on the suspension set up, wheels and tires, etc. Changing bars won't alter the handling but you'll feel better riding the bike if the bars are more comfortable for you. The only way to find out is to change them and see. It's a trial and error process and you have to start someplace.
Just thinking it might be good to change the riser bushings to the Poly one,s the moco sells, they fit perfect no problems at all, I put them on my just sold Fatbob and really felt a difference, from the floppy rubber ones.
