LR hands down! SG plain jane - SGC just the same with more chrome. and grab that LR because the 18's have become softails!

Default 09 Superglide

Yes Superglide is stripped not equipped. Mines a 09 with 96 Stage 1. Enough power. A blank canvas to do whatever you want to it. I'd get nothing less than the 96". That said if you can get the LR for more chrome, more inches, more adjustability, double disk brakes.

Not much. It's just really more of a marketing gimmick!

so is that a good thing or a bad thing. ask a someone with a closed mind who is resisting change... then yeah, it's bad because new is evil regardless of whether or not it's better in any way. is that you?

they come with more everything and most of what you'll be adding later on at your own expense. i wouldn't count them out just because they "aren't dynas". that'd be unwise. make an sound informed decision based on pros, cons of all available choices (spokes and tubes vs tubeless cast wheels) and overall value, not a decision based on popularity. i really wouldn't count them out. the only real down side at this point is they are first year runs. that's scary. people talking that negative junk... well... not trying to get banned so i'll say the politically correct, "they aren't for everyone"

anyway, even considering buying a 2007 Super Glide and a 2012 Super Glide Custom with a low rider on the table is not the best unless you flatout "want" 96" Super Glide or it's a $ thing, both are fine reasons but.... low rider 103 pummels both in standard equipment/features and overall value. all i'm saying is compare total package. unless you get the 07 SG for 4-5 grand or the 12 for 6.5-7 grand, they aren't good deals anyway... they are just purchases. the low rider will be more $ but, i've seen quite afew at rediculous prices.... there's actually way more out there but you've, for your own reasons, narrowed down to these. why'd you skip the steet bob?

compare the spec sheets and how those things on will affect how you will use the bike...like if you are going to be riding hard and trying to carve up roads/mega road trips... tubed spokes may not be your friends.

it's a fun process. sure we can help but, you are the guy putting up the bacon at the end of the day.

The SuperGlide is "polished" where the FXDL's are plated. This may have an effect as the miles accumulate.
FXD=polished
FXDC=Plated

What will be the typical miles per day? For versatility - I prefer mid shift with highway pegs. Forward shift with mid pegs would be another flavor. This is useful over 200 miles where some adjustment is beneficial.

Under 200 miles a day - do whatever you like best.

Get a Street Bob. Coolest Harley ever imo. Most people cant tell a LR from a Sporty. Not the case with Street Bob.

nobody cares what other people can or cant tell about thier bike. Only poser and young boys seeking the approval of men would care. You looking for man love approval?

anyone confusing a low rider with a sportster not a hd rider anyway. Their opinion matters not.
