Yep,sure does.Seems to be a little softer and a little stickier but surprisingly I got ten thousand miles out of my first one, exactly the same as the orig equip 160.
Good Luck
Tom
Oh,and I'll tell you a story about my luck getting these tires mounted. The first one the dealer mounted backasswards with the tread turning in the wrong direction so I had to waste another afternoon getting it remounted. The second one ,I was in getting the front master cyl replaced under warranty and my back tire was so worn you could see air through it,so they had a 180 tire in stock and I told'em to go ahead and replace it and to put on the chrome sprocket cover, bolts and spacers,a little over four hundred dollars worth.
Finally after about five hours my bike was ready and I happened to look at the tire and it has three weights on three adjacent spokes. Seemed a bit much so I go back in and tell the little girl service writer that I was'nt real sure I wanted a tire that took three oz. of weight to balance. Long story short, after looking again I found the yellow dot wasn't aligned with the valve stem plus there was another one oz. weight over on the other side. Tech got back from lunch and said that was the best he could do,so I got the sales mgr involved, who happens to be my son in law and they took my rim and tire off,put a loaner tire and rim on my bike and ordered me a new tire, tube and rim under warranty. So when it comes in I reckon I'll waste another half a day. Story of my life.
Sad tune Tom, sorry they tossed you like that bro.
When I had a stealer put my last bologna's on I checked the rear alignment later...
The axle was 14MM out of alignment. Grrrrrr
The 180 rocks. There is little handling diff. from the 160 and it looks fat as hell. I put a side plate on my WG and then chopped the license plate bracket off just to show it off. Best mod in my opinion. Now I am just chompin' at the bit for a 200.
Push it hard enough and you'll feel the difference especially if you get the matching front tire.
Go ahead and get the GT502F front tire and drive in the rain. You'll feel the difference.Almost missed a turn in a blinding rainstorm on my last roadtrip, scraped pegs at about fourty mph in a ninety degree turn and it was likeI was on a rail. These tires have a shorter sidewall and all the meat of the tread is where you need it when you're tilted. I recommend that if you get the rear tire,go ahead and get the matching front.
