The dealer should warranty it but it may take some work. You'll have to insist that the vibration is excessive or claim it's a safety issue that needs to be addressed. It's not really a safety issue. My front mount on my lrs has been wasted for about 3k now (18k on the bike) but I just don't have the time to have my bike down for them to replace it so I'm just gonna get one of the aftermarket mounts tin cup suggested and see how long that lasts.
Dynaglide92 - I went thru all the alignment checks, clearance checks and other things in the bulletin all checked out. The only thing I found when I did the one where you loosen the front and rear mounts was the top bracket under the tank was adjusted to push the engine 3/8th inch to the right. I set it at neutral and about half the vibration was gone. However it still was too much. There is 5,200 miles on it and it is out of warranty. Bought it at model introduction time in 2014 and didn't ride it for about a year.
I have had a 10 Superglide and have the Fat Bob along with a 13 Street Bob, 14 Lowrider and a 16 Lowrider S. All of them are smooth at highway speeds and the mirrors are clear. I was going to keep it when I ordered the 18 but decided to trade because of the vibration issue.
Here is my 1,500 sq.ft. shop showing an Ultra coming down from an oil cooler install in 2010. The picture is for Tincup as he refuses to believe any of my posts.
FWIW if you don’t have a picture with all bikes and something confirming it’s you and the date (newspaper or hand written), a photo from 2010 probably won’t change his mind...
Anyway the Dyna mounts being rubber suffer even if they sit and are not ridden which could cause them to sag over time. So, low miles on a almost 4 year old bike isn’t the best argument, but I digress glad you got it “fixedâ€
STRES - I've got many of them on my profile page if anyone ever checked. Also I have posted the various families on the related forums.
The 15 Fat Bob can be found quickly by checking on the Shovel forum as it is in the background of the recent post about the 80 FLT I got. The three other Dynas are in the row but too dark to identify.
But wouldn't it be a bit much to have all of them on every post.
Another way is to go to Reiman's facebook page where there are entries of most of them when I got them and pictures of me riding into the store during the winter.
I worked all my life doing work, overtime, second jobs and side jobs with the specific plan to have a collection when I retired and ride the North American Continent.
Why is it that a handful show such hate when someone achieves a goal? It took me 15 years to build this collection and the large majority of folks appreciate it.
2014 is the last time I took a group picture. Here is the touring models
