The wiring inside my tail light broke. I was gonna solder it back in place but it looks fairly old and most likely to break again looking for opinions on the best inexpensive low profile smoked led tail light it has to have the license plate light built in. Its for an 06 street bob
What do you consider inexpensive?
There is a guy on here, Mobeus102, I think that seems to have an inside supply of decent name brand tail lights at great prices. I'll try to find him and post back if I do.

Usually I say cheap but in the case of a tail light I feel inexpensive is a better term a couple places in my area have recommended moonsmc tail lights they are about $69 there are some eBay options going for around $25-$30 but you get what you pay for and with a tail light thats not something I really want to gamble.
If your peace of mind is worth anything, I would spend the few extra $$ and consider Moonsmc or Custom Dynamics. A cheap one from Ebay or Amazon might last you the life of your bike. And it might not.
+1 for Moons MC, ive got their LED Tail light/signal combo, and Headlamp. People there are super helpful, well built, inexpensive, and all products have a lifetime warranty. Can't beat it
My motorcycle is a tail light killer. The wires break off where they connect to the board. I had a Kuryakin panacea which lasted one summer before I was resoldering the wires. I tried a /\$ Custom Dynamics, the plastic cover is very thin and the screw holes cracked. Even when not overtightened. The $25 integrated light from fleabay has lasted two summers now with no problems. I put a gob of silicon on the back of the board where the wires attach, then let it cure before installing the light. Seems to be a winner for me.

Did you actually order your "Custom Dynamics" tail light from CD? I don't see anything "thin" about any part of mine, and even so, if there was something wrong with yours I'm sure Custom Dynamics would be more than happy to make it right with you.
Yeah, you get what you pay for--customer service being part of the package. And as far as Kuryakin.... meh...
