I have an 07 Superglide. The bike is black and I have added red LEDs as well as changing my turn signals to red lenses. I would now like to replace my amber colored speedo light with a red bulb. I took the back off the speedo but could not figure out how to gain access to the bulb, anyone got any hints?
Thanks.
and BTW I know having the front turn signals red is probably not DOT approved but the red looks soooooooo cool reflecting off the front forks. :-)

More than "not DOT approved" running red lights in the front it ticketable and unsafe. Drivers use their "knowledge" that the amber lights are in the front and the red lights are in the rear to figure out what they're seeing at night. When they see a mix of headlight and red lights they can fail to figure out what they're seeing (a state called "cognative dissonance.") Someone heading toward you might decide you're travelling the the same direction he is and slam into you head-on. Ain't saying it'll happen. But if it does happen, don't whine about "stupid cagers."
never thought of it that way, thanks for the advice and upon reading my post againI made myselfsound quite irresponsible, which is something I try to not be.
