Hey, I bought a set of used shocks that came off of a 2013 Dyna and am putting them on my 77 Superglide . I was wondering how one would adjust them and how can you tell if they are the adjusted the same? Is there a front or rear to these shocks? I imagine the warning label goes down or inside... as in the second pic which would indicate that the shocks are on their lowest setting... Am I correct in assuming they are on the lowest setting....? Also when I unpacked them there was a fluid all over them. It does not appear to be hydraulic fluid of any sort but actually feels and smells like brake fluid (extremely dry feel, not oily. The are gas shocks and not hydraulic, correct?

I hate that the stock shocks completely hide the adjuster ramps. I use either an inspection mirror or remove to see the ramps for the base setting and then mark them with a punch so I can keep track of adjustment and side-to-side match on the bike.

Ok, so they do have the steps like all the other shocks.. I was not aware of that. I'll take a closer look. I guess it would be like looking up a dress.... Lol. Thanx...
