Hillside cycleS&SFuel motoThere's more I'm forgetting but you have a cvo motor so case boring shouldn't be required for most of these kits.

Guys,

Thank you for your replies. I spoke with my builder today and got a plan!

Thunderheaders
Shave heads to 10.8 compression
.030 head gasket
Timken conversion
Weld crank
Head work and porting

He has done builds like this before and gets 135/130+ hp/tq. For my riding style, the trans, clutch, and rest of bike will hold up.

Thunderheaders will be here next month, and time to have fun starting motor part of build-up. Will be posting in my "Uptown Ripper" thread with pics and build-up specs.

Thanks,

Dave

I have the Harley SE 117 kit installed by the dealer. I had that done before I picked up the bike.

Sounds great.
Who is your builder who is promising 135/130 from a HD kit 117" at 10.8 with no clutch upgrade?
Can you post his site or any previous work and Dyno results?
Look forward to full disclosure....

At a minimum look into a VPC clutch upgrade.

right

if that clutch is still stock with the pink spring, it may not hold... i had to have my bike rerun on the because the stock clutch was slipping. the lrs doesn't run the same clutch as the rest of the 103s but, it still wasn't meant to handle north of 130/130
