I think most of us understand exactly where you're coming from with winter garage time and upgrades. I know I do.
And nd trust me, you won't give up looks or sound with the fatcat. As far as fitment goes on the 124, I couldn't really say for sure. I do know there's a few 124s on YouTube running the fatcat, but I don't know if they're crate motors or the hot set up kit.
I'm another satisfied D&D Fatcat guy. For me, I love the look and really love the way it sounds and performs. Every dyna rider in SWFL has V&H short shots or big radius. I hate the way those sound with all of their tinny rasp. Anyway, on my stage 1 103 going from V&H slip on mufflers to the Fatcat was a very noticeable mod and some of the best money I've spent on the bike so far.
Yea but you know how looks and sound are, 100% subjective. No offense intended, but to me the Fatcat looks like it came off a stock Yamaha, and sounds like a Yamaha with an aftermarket muffler. I kind of like the raspy sound that you get with true duals like the Big Radius. Just sounds like what a Harley is supposed to sound like, to me anyway. I know they are very popular and everybody and their brother has one on their Dyna, but that doesnt bother me too much. If I just knew I was getting good performance out of them, I wouldnt go to anything else.
So is there much evidence that a motor like mine stands to benefit from a 2 into 1 on the top end? Say above 3500? Because that is where Im at during my drag runs, so if a 2 into 1 only helps bottom and mid range, it doesnt seem like it would have much effect on my ź time.
Whats everyones thoughts on the Thunderheader? Think Id be better off with that than the Big Radius? I kind of like the looks of it and I think the sound is OK, but not quite as good as the Big Radius. Only problem Ive read is that the finish on them is horrible.

Lol that's exactly how I feel about the road rage...looks like a jap burner exhaust to me. But no offense taken, if everybody had the same taste and preferences, we wouldn't have so many options for exhaust. Any engine is gonna benefit from a good 2-1 exhaust and free flowing ac, but cams are mostly responsible for where your power and actually is. Dunno what cams you have or where they put your power, but that's something else to consider. I'm not a fan of the thunderheader or big radius, but that's just me. Yes the finish sucks on the thunderheader. Just like el diabalo ape hangers, it's only good for a season or so. A friend of mine switched from the thunderheader to the fatcat on his sg with a 110 tire shredder kit. Said it made a big difference in performance, and it sounded louder/better to him when he was on the bike. I still feel that your best pipe options for the best performance are the fatcat or road rage. Again, just my opinion based on my experience as well as people I ride with. Hopefully my long winded rambling helps a little bit.
I think you're going to need to go to a proficient dyno tech that has AFR also.
Since BOTH your 107 & 124 are soft on the bottom, then that tells us the identical tuning issue is still there.
What is your race weight (you + bike?)
What tire & pressure are you using?
What RPM are you leaving at?
Feeding or dumping the clutch at launch?
What's your RT?
