Looking for some options or suggestions on a tour pack set up for 2017 Dyna Low Rider S. Or a good looking saddle bag set up, looking for a set up that can be quick connected and detached. Only wanting to use on road trips! thanks in advance.
My brother is currently designing a setup with side cases and a top case. All are hard sided and will be QD. He should have the first one to powder this week hopefully. Ill post photos and details once he releases the product which should be soon.

Following.
I'm curious about this as well. I considered trying to fab up an FXR tour pak onto a HD QD luggage rack on my backrest. I found some OE FXR tour pak's here...
- Quick disconnect bracket Sumax DR-1 Dyna Switchback tour-pak rack
- Tour pak install- put the HD quick disc between Sumax bracket & bike Brackets eglide goodies
- HD quick disconnect-
- H-D Detachables Sideplates HD 52866-06A Chrome
- Docking Hardware Kit Finish / Color: Chrome HD 53961-06
- Sideplate Installation Hardware Kit for Dyna HD 53974-06
I found a used police tour pak on ebay and mounted it with HD quick disconnect.. Needs paint and such to finish up.
Sumax has all kinds of bags & mounting brackets for them.
eglidegoodies has various brackets to mount tour paks....

Luggage rack and a backpack worked well for me on a 3000 mile trip. Works well to lean against too. Just used one of those fish-net bungie things to hold it onto the rack. Get to where you're going you just take off the bungie and now you have a backpack will all your gear. (I wouldn't suggest wearing a motorcycle backpack with stuff in it for over 100 miles, it gets tiring on your shoulders. Hence the rack)
With that being said, I'm putting in a seat that can use two people and adding a removable sissy bar. The sissy bar holds the backpack better so it's less likely to shift when being used as a backrest. Plus you can strap it to the back of the sissy bar if you have a passenger. Can also carry more this way if you need to, seen guys coming back form Alaska with this set up and they had tents and probably 3 weeks worth of stuff strapped to it.
I was able to carry more than enough stuff and tools for 9 days on the road.

Not everyone approves of using a Givi top box on a cruiser, but it works for me. I took off the sissy bar, secured the rack to the bracket with nuts instead of the sissy bar, fitted the base plate to the rack with some rubber strips underneath, and the top box locks on or off as required. I transferred the Givi backrest from an old top box which in effect replaces the sissy bar,
