When I first bought my 07 SG I put on cycle shack slip-ons on the recomendation of my dealer, he said they were the equivalent of SE II's and every body loved them. Every one 'cept me, they had plenty of sound, but a little tinny sounding to me, and they just looked kinda cheap. I just finished putting on the Rineharts,WOW. Super look, black end caps compliment the vivid black bike, chrome is flawless and it gets better, the bike runs better and sounds WAY better. (maybe I just think it runs better because it sounds so much better lol) Really deep, sound like straight pipes without the deceleration pop. Anyway two big thumbs up for Rinehart! Peace.
my full system gets put on tomorrow, cannot wait. hope i get the same results
I put the full staggered system on my '07 FXDL. I added a SE high flow intake and used a SE Race Tuner to tune on the dyno. Picked up 15.12 ft/lbs TQ and 12.19 HP on the dyno.
They sound incredible. The best sounding pipes I've heard and they make good power and a very broad TQ range.
You just sold me on them. I've heard a few Sportsters with them but I have heard nothing bad about these slip on's. With these, the Big Sucker and PCIII, I should be in good shape! Cant wait!
Did either of you add the High Flow Air Cleaner? I am looking for that Harley sound on my 06 FXDBI, and I am not in the right place money wise to do it all, but if I could get away with just the slip-on for now I would go that way.
You can always add slipons without installing an a/c and fuel management. Slipons by themselves are fine. If you want that Harley sound, just add slipons. You won't get any power increse but you'll have the sound you want.
