ODC is an Italian company that's new to the US market and has been making waves lately with high quality parts.

Fully adjustable allows both compression damping + rebound damping adjustment. All shocks here allow preload adjustment. Some allow minor length adjustment and the better ones can have different springs installed to suit different weights. Even a non-adusjtable Ohlins or other high end rebuildable shock is tunable, it just requires disassembly to change out the shim stack and or orfiices. My rear Ohlins are non adjustable but the seller/builder, Motorcycle Metal, will tune them to suit.

I'm running Ohlins blackline 13.25" rear shocks. They were less than $700 and offer preload adjustment only. They are significantly better than stock. With that said, the ride quality is not earth shattering, cancer curing, or world hunger solving like some on these boards like to write about. My advice to you is to stay under $1k, go non-piggyback, and be realistic with your expectations. Suspension is one component to the overall handling puzzle, not the only component.

If/when I do it again, I'll go for the ODC (non-piggyback) 13.5 tracker shocks which offer preload and rebound adjustment for the same price.

I just installed a set of Burly Brand Stilettos (made by progressive) on the back of my fatbob. Ride is much improved over the heavy duty progressive 412's. And much better than stock. The HDs were killing my back. The Burlys have dual rate springs and were inexpensive, 250.00 on amazon.

Riderboy, I cant see how lowering the bike would improve ride quality, if your desire is to lower the bike because of limitation...

I have the PS 490 13.5" with PS cartridge in the forks. I only have tried this setup on the dyna, and of course the stock setup. Night and day and stock is ****. You really want to change the front setup as well. Im 180 cm tall and front forks is a bit raised, maybe right under an inch. Loves this combo. Drag specialties has the adjustable rear shocks for cheap if you want to go with that route.

I'm running the 14" racingbros out back, fully adjustable and I'm loving them so far. My first venture into adjustable shocks (aside from spring preload) so I'm still learning as I go as far as what all the adjustments actually do for me, but I've got them set up pretty solid right now...

As mentioned, ODC is an Italian company that is coming to the US with some nice products. They also sell their Tracker shocks which are not piggyback. You can get them with regular or DLC (black) coated shafts depending on your preference.

Thanks for all the feedback. I've contacted Messners about purchasing a custom tailored set for what seems to be a reasonable price depending on what route I go. In addition, it's apparent I need to do both so...the shopping list still grows. Atleast the seat and headlight were installed today.
