My '13 was a left over. It was un-crated, put in the corner of the dealership's floor and there it sat collecting dust for the next year. I kept going in checking on it while I was deciding if I really wanted to own an EFI HD That dealership was in a sad state of affairs during that time; it's now under new ownership.
I finally made them a low ball out the door cash offer in the spring of '14; I was surprised when they took it. This area is bagger country <boring> the Dyna didn't sell very well. I wouldn't even let them start the bike or wash it, just put the battery in; which they managed to screw up. They threw in two gallons of fuel and I rode it away; and it has never been back there again.
Not a thing wrong with a left over; mine had never been started since it was un-crated so it was pristine; just dusty. With patience, you can find the deals
I started thinking about the front end and it being a2016 leftover at the end of 2017. New model 18s already on showroom floor. Started to wig a little thinking maybe it was still around for a reason.

A left over just means there's a deal to be had
These bikes are assembled by humans, it's always a good idea to check everything over for proper assembly. 'Trust but verify'.
With your front fork issue I'd start by confirming alignment. Double check your fork tube protrusion is exactly the same, then follow what I posted for you in your 'offset' thread to confirm everything is properly aligned.
You check the fork tube protrusion above the top clamp by measuring from the front at the mid-point of the fork tube. The spec is 14.6 - 17.1mm protrusion as measured from the top of the fork clamp to the top of the fork cap. As long as they're both identical within that spec range, you're OK to go. If they're not the same, everything is out of alignment from there on out...
I've bought several leftover/end of year bikes. Always get a great deal and have never had any issues.
I recently bought a new fishing boat and was trying to find last years model but ended up getting a 2018 Hewescraft 20' Pro V, they cut me a good deal on it anyways though.

I am thinking you have a minor problem but you are playing the what if head games with yourself ( I would be doing the same) . I always see left overs at the dealership. You bought a great bike. Get it right and dont look back. Enjoy that bad a$$ wide glide and ride safe!
Really appreciate all you guys and your info. I will Check everything myself as soon as it's get cleared up around here. Lots of snow and worse salt. I will let you know what I find. Thanks again.
