the battery on my 14 ultra is dying a slow death. it cranks fine when first unplugged from the tender but after riding to work and sitting off tender for 8 hours, it really struggles to turn the motor over. i dont think it was on a tender over the winter at the dealer when in storage as much as it was supposed to be. i ordered a big crank 30xl from battery mart, $109 with free shipping. i chose this battery based on the many recommendations from you fine folks here!
so my battery was delivered today. put on tender until i get time to swap it out. my question is there is a round sticker on the case that says 4/18, is that the manufacture date? the circles with months and numbers for years are not removed, so im wondering.

thanks, just found it odd that the circles weren’t pulled out on the label. looks like i got a battery that was about a month old!

Normally when an independent shop installs the new battery, they will then remove the month and day circles. The manufacturing month and day are also left on the battery.
Who'd you purchase from? Mine is starting to act like that. With the new battery did it start like it was before? Did you test the charging system before the nre battery?
I received my new Yuasa GYZ32HL battery yesterday and tested it with a voltmeter. It read 12.3 volts. Is that considered acceptable for this particular battery? I was under the impression the high 12's is more the norm. Just measured the voltage this morning after having it on a tender all night and it is at 12.6 V. Any concerns of a weak battery say going down the road?
