Default Headlight bracket
Hello. I have purchased a Memphis Shade fairing for my 99 FXD. When I went to install it, I noticed the aluminum shroud over the light needed to be removed so the fairing fits. The light assembly is attached to this shroud and there is nothing on the fairing it attachs to. Is there a bracket to reattach the light so it fits in the circular hole in the fairing? Thanks.

You're referring to the headlight brow correct? That needs to be removed and you need to get a bottom mount headlight. There should be a hole in the middle of your bottom tree. A morning block can be installed there and the new headlight attaches to the morning block.

You can buy the bottom mount led headlight bucket from moco for around 50 dollars. This does not include the headlight itself, but you can install your stock non-led headlight in this bucket and run that. I did this until I bought an led headlight.

When I changed my handlebars/riser I picked up a like new take off street bob headlight and mounting block off Ebay for $50-100 (don't remember).

Lower tree on my 2003 Fxd had to be drilled for the bolt hole. Nothing from the factory there. Used a cordless right angle drill to make it straight.

thats interesting, my 16 FXDL was drilled, just screwed right in.
