Default 07 super glide clutch

I have an 07 fxd and I noticed the clutch seemed to be slipping a little. I first adjusted the cable and it seemed to make it feel better. A few rides later it still seemed to be slipping so I decided to change the primary fluid (moble 1 20w50 synthetic motorcycle oil) and adjust the clutch itself. After the oil change and adjustment I took it around the block and it seemed much better. (But I only had time to take it around the block not much farther.) I just got around to taking it for a longer ride (about 10 miles) and by the end it seemed to be slipping again. Do these clutches usually fall out of adjustment or do you think it's time for a new clutch? What's a goid clutch to get? While searching I mostly see Barnett clutches.

How is it slipping? Like between gear shifts or on take off, or like when you give it wide open throttle in high gear it just blows through the clutch slipping?

It's alright if I'm easy on it (half or less throttle). But it slips when doing a hard pull 3/4 or more. It will rev up to the sky and not pull as it should. I adjusted the cable all the way where it' actually rolling with the clutch cable pulled and I'm still not getting the full extend of the clutch. The bike only had about 15000 miles on it. I'e had it for a little over a year and have probably only put 500 miles on it (unfortunately between work and family lol)

if it's adjusted correctly it's smoked.

I'm pretty sure I adjusted it right. I took all of the slack out of the clutch cable, broke the adjuster lock free, adjusted the adjuster nut until it made contact a d than backed it off half a turn, re tightened the lock nut, refilled primary ,and adjusted cable. I figured the clutch was burnt but I just wanted a second opinion. Thanks guys.

Sounds like its toasted to me, id just recommend OEM replacement if you're never going to throw more power at it.

It probably is toast, but just in case it's not, you might be going about it backwards. You don't adjust the cable first and then the clutch. Before you adjust the clutch you have to loosen the cable adjustment all the way.

Also keep in mind the clutch basket is supposed to be overnite cold. A warm clutch could skew the adjustment.
