Wow! Just wow ( I stole that from the valley girl ) when I read your post It sounded like another, my bikes the best thing on the road bs. I see now that your opinion does have merit. When I stated the wide glide is the one I was being sarcastic as it was followed with lol! The wide glide is the one for me . The low rider is the one for you, that’s cool. I also said any one in the great dyna family would work and to pick the one that speaks to you. Thank you for not tearing into my sphincter!

That is a good looking Super Glide! I had an '05 and it was a fine machine. The '09 will have six speed and no hassles with the cam chain tensioners. OP, this is worth considering

I'd stick with an 07 and up if you are looking for performance I'd look for an LRS

Your asking for some pretty broad opinions...
I’d definately vote for an ‘07 or newer; to me it’s about what to avoid. That list includes the 06’s, early EFI, solid riser Street Bob’s and I wouldn’t want an ancient EVO, thankyou. I’ve been on my bike 3000 miles from home; quirky and vintage are not my primary interest...travel is. I’m keeping my ‘08 FXDB for the foreseeable future. Had an FXDXT before that, but too old for my travels now. And; whats a carb?

Its the same chassis so little difference in between each model.
What helps in canyon carving is control position (mid controls are better for tight twists and turns as you feel the bike under you) and less rake (29) as for recent (Fat Bobs)
I think the Street Bob with a few modification is the best handling Dyna, after may be a disc break upgrade and an different handlebar.

not the same. Neck rakes and rear strut span vary.
