Default Thunderheader problems

Hey guys, so I just installed a thunderheader on my 2000 fxdx. Sounds awesome and I love it. But the problem is I have forward controls and the brake lever rod is rubbing the inside of the pipe. Anyone had this issue before? If so how did you deal with it? Appreciate any help guys thanks!

Is your pipe for forwards? Thunderheader has a forward specific and a mids specific pipe.

Yes pipe is for forwards. It fits, but like I said it just rubs a lot.

Try bending the rod a touch.

Loosen your Thunder Header "Head Mount Nuts" - Loosen or take off any other Header to frame mount bolts if there are any (Ive never had a Thunderheader)
Then... with the Header Nuts Loosened... Twist/Rotate Outwards the Header just a little and re-tighten the Header "Head Mount Nuts".

The 3 Thunder headers i'm running on my 01 FXDX,89 FXR and 2003 FXDL Anniversary lowrider fit like gloves. You "May" have to apply a torch with mild heat on the master cylinder Brake pushrod to achieve a slight bend to eliminate that pipe rubbing and a clear smooth rear brake rod pressure/feel .
