You could always just use a switch like this (https://www.ebay.com/itm/18277338704...84.m1436.l2649), and wire it to the passing lamps and battery. This one is a "momentary" switch, like what you're describing, and is only "on" for as long as you hold it in, and goes "off" when you let go of it. It's also cheap, so you save some $ for other mods.

Exactly! That’s what I’m looking for. Should have searched for a starter switch! Same function. I can just splice it with the high beam wire if I’m not wrong!

In that case the passing light will only work if high beam is switched on.

Be sure the switch and wiring can handle the amount of amp produced by the two passing lights:
volt X amp = watt
so
watt / V = amp
for the passing lights: 110 / 12 = 9.1 amp!

I would strongly recommend to follow the wiring diagram I posted previously.

YEs, that’s true! I can just splice directly from the power source. Kinda dublicate the stock high beam switch with the new passing light switch

Any weather rated micro switch can ne made to work if you include a relay in the circuit.

Another route would be to wire the high beam into the horn circuit (with relay). Press the horn button and get both a beep and a flash. No extra buttons and extra driver awareness.

Flashing lights at someone is a quick way to get a middle finger or worse in this country.

okey good for your country 👍
Meanings of flashing lights can be so broad.

- I want to pass
- gettaf*** outta my way. You driving in the wrong lane
- turn on your lights!
- turn off your lights!
- watch out! It’s a cop ahead of you
- it’s a accident ahead of you
- you doing something wrong

i just want a proper passing light switch on my bike. I know what it means and the use of it. If you getting a middle finger, too bad for you, you might have done something wrong 👍
