Default Remove Low Rider adjustable risers

I am new to Harley Davidson. I'm older so I thought I needed to go toward a cruiser and bought a 2016 LR. I want to install straight risers and get rid of the headlight visor and adjustable handlebar mounting system so I have more options in getting a comfortable setup. There are two wires going through the visor coming from inside the handlebars that I will need to disconnect to get the visor off. Does anyone know what those wires go to and where/how to disconnect them? I am not all that mechanical but I want to learn to do more things myself. Thanks!

One wire bundle comes from each control pod on each end of the handlebars. They go through the eyebrow as you say, and plug into the wiring harness under the gas tank. You can unplug them, pull them through the eyebrow, reroute them and then plug them back in.There's plastic keeper under the tank that holds them in place--you will need to remove it to get to the connectors. Depending on the exact configuration of your wiring bundle it might make it easier to unbolt the tank and lift the front of it up a bit for easier access. Be sure you don't turn the bars too much with the tank lifted, though-- it'll guarantee a dent in your tank from the knuckles on the stock risers.

Edit: Good luck and welcome to the forums!

Talkinf out of my *** here but, in the name of laziness/time related costs, i'm pretty sure that once you unplug the controls in the neck hole you should be able to pull them straight through all that routing without pulling the individual wires out of the connector terminals. May need to loosen the cowl/brow.

i really dont think hd would have the workers putting wires in terminals as it rolled down the line. It would be time consuming.

I believe you're right. I've never had the need to pull them through the eyebrow, but they look like they should go with no problem.
