Oh boy! Well since I've installed my PV1 I've noticed I'm getting a what feels like a stumble in the motor. My tach doesn't show it though. Have been running sea foam in the fuel to clean up the fuel system thinking it's a fuel prob. Well I'll be cruising at around 22-2300 rpms running good sounding good and just get this stumble almost feels like it's missing but not that abrupt. Well been fooling around a lot trying to ride the decel popping. with the PV1 I've increased the fuel to 10 and spark to 5, I started from no adjustment to 5 and spark at 3 and now 10 and 5. and not knowing WTF in doing. Now...coincidents......had a prob. With my Sporty last yr and seemed the same only with the Sporty it sometimes just died out. First I replaced the coil...nope...and it boiled down to the ignition system and replaced it with tha Dynatex 2000 and that solve the prob. With my sporty. Could this be my prob. Or is it my lack of knowledge on using the PV. Oh it will ride ok but after awhile it starts to happen after she warms up awhile. Any thoughts will be of help.

Using the pre loaded tunes. I called to see what tune would be closest to my intake and exhaust and Moto suggested to use a certain tune. Guess I should try that first
That's a pretty good bet.
When you say "Moto" do you mean Fuel Moto?
If so then yeah, use Jamies map.
Yes, I went back into PV and started from scratch. Used the " improved 88 " and it ran the best of all the tunes go figure. Still stumbled....do you think it's because of the low RPMs in the particular gear? I start a new job on Monday but the next chance I get I'll do the auto tune
Still stumbled....do you think it's because of the low RPMs in the particular gear?
Yeah sure,
You haven't shared what gear or speed with us.
But high idle is high idle. What are you trying to do with the throttle and/or during your ride when it "stumbles"?
Decel for a stoplight in 4th? Then throttle up?
The bike is not a sporty. It's a Cruiser.
Usually 3rd, 4th gear 35-40 mph, either Gear, steady cruise holding 40mph. ( approx. 2300-2500 RPMs) I usually if just cruising will shift.... 1st 10 mph, 2nd 20 mph so on and so on to 60. I try to keep 21 to 2500 RPMs the lowest in any gear. Of coarse when having fun all holes bared, so I don't have any prob. Running up and down in any rpm range just when on the cruise
Thank's for the honest answer.
I don't think you have a problem besides not recognizing the power, design and potential of your bike,,
,,your lugging it just a little. Of course it "stumbles" in that high-range of gear and low rpm.
Drop a gear if your in city traffic with stop lights,
What range is the tach when your doing 60 on a highway in 5th?
Because you should not be doing 60 on a highway in 6th,,
Try keeping your rpm's higher, to me cruising is 2800 to 3600 rpm. 10 mph in first, man don't shift that till your going 20-25 mph min. into second. Harleys are high performance engines , you have to open them up to feel the freedom !
