Console Interchanges for 2013 Super Glide
Hi all,
I previously posted looking into whether a touring model tank would swap onto my Super Glide. Turns out it won't but there was an older Super Glide model that had a tank without the instrument console. My intent was to implement a MotoGadget Mini into the bar clamp and eliminate the console.
After some research it appears that the MotoGadget Mini is not compatible with the HD-LAN system, so I'm going to have to jettison the MotoGadget install.
The main thing I don't like about the console I have is that it is chrome. Does anyone know the matte black consoles that will work on this machine? The matte black will actually look nice because it will match the bar and clamp as installed.
There is a smaller gauge unit that I have seen on some bikes as well, which shrinks the console overall. I'd like to find that type of unit that will work with the wiring I have.
I'm running under the assumption that all 2013 Dyna's will have the same essential wiring, so any console will interchange. Is that a dangerous assumption?
I'm also looking into a speedo locate a la Roland Sands, but I want to consider both options.
