2016 Street Bob Vibration at Idle
Any suggestions on ruling something out would be helpful.
Thanks

They probably had it warmed up when you looked at it, and/or like most of us just enamored with the bike when you first saw it.
Spend a little time getting to know your bike before looking for too much trouble.
It's Ok,,
Isolators can fail due to contaminated engine oil getting on them from oil filter removals. The Dyna conveniently puts the isolator directly below the oil filter and the contaminated oil will degrade the rubber of the isolator.
Vehicle/engine alignment can also cause premature failure of the mounts as acceleration and braking forces try to push and pull the engine in the frame through the mounts and engine torque tries to pitch it up and down at the front. A Dyna new off the floor is no guarantee that it's in correct alignment.
Time, more than mileage is the key if your isolator is oil contaminated or the bike's alignment is out. Even when you're not riding the bike, the mounts are still in the frame doing their job of supporting the engine/primary/transmission.
HD did release a service bulletin in '12 on Dyna vibration; I believe their 'fix' is a band-aid, but it does show you what to look for and how to inspect the front isolator. If you do discover your isolator is on the way out do yourself a real favor and look to the aftermarket for a proper solution
I used a Predator mount, due to its design it allowed me to keep my low mount oil cooler but other options that are far superior to the OEM mounts are available...
A lean condition won't cause vibration but it will run hot and not produce as much power or response as when it's properly tuned.
