I have a 2015 Dyna Low Rider - it's always had issues with "V Interrupt" message. i installed a new battery on New Years day (not an HD battery), when my HD battery died. This battery would intermittently just shut down while I was riding. I'd lose all power. Sometimes I'd get it to restart, sometimes I'd need a tow. First the deal said it was a lose battery connection. Which helped for a month - then issue returned. Then we decided to put in a new (HD) battery. This worked fine until I was 150 miles from home - and the bike / battery died at a stop light. I had no power at all - even flashers and dash would not light up. Pushed it into a gas station. After 15 minutes (while waiting for a tow) the dash would light up - but the fuel injection would not engage, bike would not turn oner. After about 45 minutes - I tried it again - and fuel injection engaged. Bike started right up. Cancelled the tow and made it the 150 miles home. This morning - it started right up.
I'm stumped, will bring it back to dealer - but since it's working fine now - I don't feel like they can / will do anything. But obviously I'm not comfortable relying on the bike now.
I'm perplexed how it can be totally dead and then 45 minutes later be OK. I will note the bike was pretty hot when it shut down ... but Harleys are always hot, and I have never heard of heat effecting the electrical system.
Another note - I just had the 10,000 mile service at the same time as the new HD battery was installed.
Also I always battery tender the bike when not in use. I'm not going to tender it until I take it to the dealer so they can test the load.
